Good to know
Common questions
The things people usually ask before booking their first clean.
Do you bring your own cleaning products and equipment?
Yes. We arrive with the products and equipment needed for your clean, so there's nothing for you to organise beforehand. If you'd prefer we use your products, or something low-fragrance, just let us know.
Will I have the same cleaners each time?
Where possible we keep you with a consistent team, so they get to know your home, your priorities and how you like things done.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
Not at all. Plenty of our clients are at work or out. We can arrange access however suits you, and we're just as happy for you to be home.
How many cleaners come to my home?
Our cleaners generally work in teams of two or more. It gets the work done efficiently and gives everyone added accountability and peace of mind.
Do you offer weekly and fortnightly cleaning?
Yes — weekly and fortnightly are our most popular options, and we also do monthly and one-off cleans. We'll set a rhythm that fits your household.
What areas of the Northern Beaches do you service?
We clean homes from Manly through to Palm Beach, including Balgowlah, Seaforth, Freshwater, Dee Why, Narrabeen, Mona Vale, Avalon, Forestville, Frenchs Forest and Belrose.
Are your cleaners police checked?
Yes. Everyone who enters your home is appropriately checked and vetted before they start with us.
Are you insured?
Yes, Northern Beaches Cleaning Services is fully insured, including public liability cover.
Do you clean windows?
We're not window-cleaning specialists, but we happily take care of what's reachable from the ground — sliding doors, low windows and window tracks. If you're after a full interior and exterior window clean, we're glad to pass on the details of a trusted local window cleaner we work with.
Can I give the team a priority list?
Please do. A short list of what matters most to you helps us spend the time where you'll notice it, and you can change it whenever you like.
What happens if I need to cancel my clean?
Life happens. Let us know as early as you can and we'll reschedule you for the next available time that suits.
Why does the first clean usually take longer?
There's typically more to do on the first visit, and the team is getting to know your home. It also gives us a much better idea of how long your regular clean will take. If you have a budget in mind, we can set priorities to work within it.
